Wedding tip 3: Before you can start booking vendors for your wedding or making any of your stationary you need to pick the day! I recommend searching for venues that you love and seeing what their availability is rather than just picking a random day and hoping some place in your budget and location is going to be available. It is best to book your date at least a year out because you will have a lot of moving parts and knowing when and where your wedding will be is the most important part after finding your person. If location is really important to you you can set a higher price tag on it and spend less in other areas. However, if you aren't as concerned about location but have your heart set on that designer dress or an open bar then maybe finding a less expensive venue is a better option for you. Your wedding planner is a great point of contact when looking up a venue and reading over your contract before you sign for a specific place and day. You can also use wedding vendor websites such as The Knot or Wedding wire to help you get an idea of what options you have in your area.
